Fundatia Ana Aslan International (ANA) successfully activated the Romanian Pilot (WP11) on December 12, 2023 when the first participant was successfully recruited.
First informative session on ICF was held on December 11 by Dr. Mircea Marzan and Dr. Razvan Trascu and included volunteering seniors, already made aware of the SMART BEAR concept in our previous pre-recruitment sessions held as part of out partnership with social care directorates in Bucharest.
Participants were eager to participate in the project, so that the first participant was actually scheduled for screening and baseline examination the very next day. ANA successfully recruited the first 5 participants in December, before the winter holidays kicked in.
Recruitment is expected to be resumed in January.
