IDEA is a non-profit research and innovation association aiming to promote technological development and digital transformation with special focus in the outermost region of Madeira, Portugal. Among its associates, IDEA counts on the participation of Funchal Municipality, a fundamental partner to maintain the social contact and citizen engagement in the region. In addition to supporting the co-design and co-implementation of ICT in the regional framework, the focus of IDEA lies in developing informative actions, training and education to citizens, tourists and organizations in tight collaboration with the Madeira Digital Health and Wellbeing initiative (www.digit-madeira.pt) which is being managed by the institute in close cooperation with regional governmental actors.
